The Rural Alberta Advantage had previously promised to release a new album in 2014, and the Toronto-based folk rock band are staying true to their world. Mended with Gold is due out on September 30 through Paper Bag Records.

The album was co-produced by Leon Taheny (Owen Pallett, Austra, ㊟㊟ed Up) at Toronto's Candle Recording with help from the band's live engineer Matt Lederman (Hayden, !!!, the Besnard Lakes).
