简介：

Example原名Elliot Gleave，生于伦敦，生日是1983年6月20日，是一名英伦歌手、饶舌歌手。艺名Example的来历是由于他的本名缩写e.g.在拉丁文中是exempli gratia的缩写，也就是英文中的for example。Example的音乐类型大概可以归为Eleotro,hip hop,grime和dubstep。

他生于伦敦西区医院，是长子。曾在富尔汉姆市的 All Saints Primary School读小学。随后又在位于温得沃茨市的ADT College（现称Ashcroft Technology Academy）读书。 　　Example说过自己开始饶舌歌手生涯的主要原因是受到武当派（Wu-Tang Clan）和史努比狗狗（Snoop Dogg）专辑的引导，而后者的专辑最初吸引自己的在于很酷的专辑封面艺术。 　　
9岁时，他赢得了皇家邮政的“年度最佳诗作”，并为他的学校赢回一台电脑。 　　
12岁时，他在一场聚会上第一次参加了饶舌斗技。他声称自己完全击垮了一个无用的傻瓜，然后他们打了架，以至于那个人只能屁滚尿流地跑回家。 　
　
17岁时，进入Royal Holloway University，学习电影导演专业。在大学时，他开始参与㊟㊟Mc来赚钱。正是这段时间他遇见了Joseph Gardner和AKA Rusher,也就是日后合作的音乐制作人。Gleave和Gardner在学校的小录音室内制作了一张概念专辑。这张专辑包括了一首成为Example第一首正式发行的单曲。
